Tebow home schooled

Tim Tebow, this year's winner of the Heisman Trophy, college football's most coveted award--and the only sophomore ever to win it, was home schooled.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Another homeschooler: Me. I graduated homeschool-high school a few years ago. Now I'm happily puttering along at a community college, preparing to transfer for my biology degree.

So...what marketable skills will this homeschooled kid have when he's too old to play football, or doesn't make the pros?

Ummm, let's see...a wide range of knowledge, the ability to think, and a high degree of self-discipline?

You seem to be assuming that home school students are somehow deficient in these areas. I guess you haven't seen the test score comparisons? You might also not have noticed that public schools routinely graduate functional illiterates.

Being a UK student, I didn't really like Tim Tebow because of the team he plays for (*cough* FLORIDA *cough*), but then I learned this fact about his education, and suddenly I felt as if I had met another brother.

Anonymous, did your link get cut off? I copied-and-pasted as far as it went, but Yahoo gave an error message suggesting that the page had expired.
