Martin,

Its a lost cause for your side. Do you really think the Court would grant the right to marry to thousands of couples in all these states just to cruelly take it away in the near future? Its more like the Court just sent a clear signal to the 6th Circuit that its time to send same-sex marriage bans into the dustbin of history; otherwise, the Court would've just left these cases on hold while it waited to see of the 6th Circuit created a split to resolve.

You keep arguing that my position is a "lost cause." I'm surprised that you believe that just because some position is politically victorious, it is therefore the right position.

Martin,

It is the right position, and it was the right position back when your side was winning and getting the states to pass constitutional amendments banning ssm. However, the tide has turned, and your side is decisively, irrevocably losing. As homosexuals come out and get married, people are seeing that they are not pedophilic, depraved monsters, but friends, relatives and coworkers that they love and respect. Its harder to hate people you know and care about.

Give up, Martin. It's over. And it's about time.

If you're in favour of fidelity and faithful, monogomous marriage, you should be in favour of same sex marriage. It's as simple as that.
