Catalonia is banning bullfighting, another modern victory for animal rights at a time when countries are continuing to liberalize their abortion laws, which once again proves my thesis that, when the qualitative distinction between humans and animals is erased, the result is either requiring that animals be treated with the same respect as humans or that allowing that humans be treated like animals.
